THE PROBLEM:
Even though, modern brokerages may have to gather your single, individual stock purchase from multiple sources, they don’t overwhelm your brain by showing you the hundreds of mini-transactions that were done to fill your order. They simply list that you purchased 50 shares of xyz. Nice, clean, and simple.
BUT crypto exchanges are still in the wild west phase. If you place an order for 1 BTC, they may show the hundreds of mini transactions that took place behind the scenes.
This can be quite the headache to have to scan through all these mini-transactions, when you really just want to see your main trade on each line.
In the future, Crypto exchanges will likely become more elegant like modern broker sites. But for now, it’s annoying. :^/
